Event Details

What: A Democratic fundraising event to let loose and celebrate the hard work of Albany County Democrats and their commitment to a more equitable Wyoming.   

When: October 19, 2019 from 6 to 10pm.  Dinner is 6-7:30pm and live music from The Woodpile starts at 7:30 and goes until 10pm!

Where: Lincoln Community Center, 365 West Grand Avenue, Laramie Wyoming (Laramie’s Historic West Side)  

Food and Drinks: Delicious bratwurst (graciously donated by Marian and Grant Showacre), side dishes provided by DEVINE EATS, and homemade desserts! Info on drinks to be updated soon.

Entertainment: The 5-piece “indie-folk-meets-rock” band, The Woodpile, will be entertaining us starting at 7:30 and playing to the end of the night! The Woodpile combines conventional folk instrumentation, charming storytelling, and rich vocal harmony with beautiful cello melodies, complex arrangements, and dynamic composition that take the listener on a rousing, oft somber and reflective journey. Silent Auction: Several Laramie artists have come forward and donated incredible pieces of art to be auctioned off the night of Demtoberfest.  Their original works will be on display at the event and silent bidding will begin at 6pm.  

CALLING ALL ARTISTS (and friends of artists)-- we are also still looking for more Silent Auction items! Would you be willing to donate an original piece of artwork or do you know of friends/colleagues that are artists that you could reach out to for a donation? We are currently collecting items (paintings, drawings, photography, jewelry, woodwork, sand art, sculpture, etc.) for our silent auction to be held during Demtoberfest. Please contact Lindsay Stoffers directly at LindsayStoffers@gmail.com if you would be willing to donate or know someone that would.

Raffle: Raffle tickets will be sold prior to and during the event. Throughout the evening, numerous raffle prizes will be given from local establishments. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5, 7 for $20, or 20 for $50. Email Lindsay Stoffers (Lindsaystoffers@gmail.com) if you’d like to purchase tickets or have something you’d like to donate. Tickets can also be purchased in person, the night of the event.  You DO NOT have to be present to win and we will have NUMEROUS prizes, so the odds of winning are in your favor!  

Donate: The goal of Demtoberfest is to raise money to support Democratic values in Wyoming.  Wyoming Democrats are invaluable and your support is truly appreciated, no matter how small the donation! If you can’t attend Demtoberfest, but would like to make a monetary donation, please send checks to PO Box 782, Laramie, Wyoming 82073.  Make checks payable to: Albany County Democrats and in the memo section write “Demtoberfest”.
