The 2020 Wyoming Caucus was held entirely by mail. See below for 2020 Caucus results. The Albany County Democratic Convention was held on May 16, 2020. See below for more information regarding delegate selection and the Convention.
Former Vice President Joe Biden won 72.2% of the popular vote, earning 10 delegates to the Democratic National Convention, and Senator Bernie Sanders won 27.8% of the vote, earning 4 delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Former Vice President Joe Biden won 59.1% of the popular vote, earning 15 delegates plus 3 alternates to the Wyoming Democratic Party State Convention.
Senator Bernie Sanders won 40.9% of the popular vote, earning 11 delegates plus 2 alternates to the Wyoming Democratic Party State Convention.
Albany County Democrats will send 26 delegates plus 5 alternates to the Wyoming Democratic Party State Convention on July 6, 2020 in Powell, Wyoming. The State Convention will elect Wyoming delegates to the National Convention, elect the WDP National Committeewoman and Committeeman, and approve the WDP 2020 platform.
The delegate election was held electronically. However, as of May 13, there are still a few delegate and alternate spots remaining. If you would like to represent Albany County as a delegate to the WDP State Convention, please email albanycounty@wyodems.org.
The Albany County Democratic Convention will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 10:00am. The convention will be held via Zoom, and will discuss and approve the 2020 platform.
The Albany County Democratic Central Committee established a threshold of at least
40 participants in order to stay true to the grassroots nature of approving a platform.
